Labrador Retrievers is a hobby (non-commercial) breeder smack in the middle of a
large city close to Lake St. Clair in Michigan. We have been involved with AKC
Labradors Retrievers since 1978 and are proud to have owned and bred dogs who
have gone on to achieve Champion titles in America and Canada. Prior to
1978, we enjoyed the company of several Golden Retrievers and Irish Setters.
While many picture the ideal setting for a sporting breed type dog such as the
Labrador Retriever or Golden Retriever to be a large piece of property in the
country … our dogs are bred to adapt to all kinds of environments… which in turn
has produced a number of outstanding service dogs, therapy dogs, hunting dogs,
search and rescue dogs, obedience dogs, show dogs, and best of all … loving
friends to children and families.
Over the years, pictures of our puppies and adult dogs have graced the cover of
JustLabs, hospital brochures, business advertisements, hunting brochures, and
many newspaper articles describing their wonderful contributions to society.
We are very proud of the people who have taken our exceptional bloodlines and
used them to produce exceptional companions. Without them … our need to
succeed may not have burned so brightly!
